Trump’s strong reaction to Elon Musk and the mandatory policy of electric vehicles: “If Elon does not get subsidies, he will have to close his business”

Washington: Former US President Donald Trump has criticized the famous technology entrepreneur Elon Musk, saying that if he did not get subsidies from the government, Elon Musk would have to close his business and go back to South Africa.

He made this statement as a strong reaction to the government’s policy regarding the mandatory use of electric vehicles.

In his statement released on social media, Trump said:
“Elon Musk, long before he supported me so strongly for the presidency, knew that I was strongly against the mandatory law of electric vehicles (EV Mandate).

He added that this is a ridiculous law, and has always been a key part of my election campaign. Electric vehicles are fine, but everyone should not be forced to buy them.”

Trump added that Elon Musk is probably the most subsidized person in history, and that if his companies did not receive this financial assistance, “there would be no rocket launches, no satellites sent, no electric cars built.”

He sarcastically said:

“Our country would have saved a lot of money. Maybe we should tell ‘DOGE’ to take a good look at this? There could be a lot of money saved here!”

It should be remembered that Trump has been critical of policies related to electric vehicles in the past, and he believes that the government should not force decisions on industries.

Trump’s statement comes at a time when the election atmosphere for the 2024 US presidential election is heating up rapidly and Trump is busy trying to energize his re-election campaign.
