In 1913 a Mongolian woman was committed to death by starvation inside a wooden box.
As you can see in photo, the woman fought for her life vainly trying to free herself.
You can also see the plates on the ground. I wonder if someone fed her.
Other historical sources also wrote about such generosity – that sometime people who were punished to death by crucifixion or burial alive could live during weeks or even months.
Because they were fed and watered by someone secretly.
